We are very happy with the split tool because it can cut your archive in both parts that fit on the floppy disk, or on CD or DVD, handy if you want to spread the huge archive. Unfortunately, the security that keeps the 7-Zip behind is its main rival. There is no option to scan the virus archive and you do not repair damaged files.
7-Zip can not be as secure as WinZip or WinRAR but certainly better informed. It works with morelayouts and archive offers. There are many useful tools such as the update mode or division. If you feel too limited by WinZip and if you do not like WinRAR, you have to perform 7-Zip experiments and benefit from everything.
Much more flexible than its most famous rival, 7-Zip is a great tool for file compression.
